Radio stations can always use a boost
to increase their ad revenues.
Could this
be the time to approach a station with offer a barter arrangement?
Decide
which station best suits your clients’ preferences (country, smooth
jazz, rock, new wave, etc.).
Contact the show’s producer, and explain
the benefits of a barter agreement between you and them.
Perhaps
the station needs a contest prize or is searching for a way to increase
their audience.
Your gift baskets might be the solution, and in turn,
the exposure may increase your profits.
The
worst that can happen is that the producer will say “no,” but don’t
fret. Before hanging up, ask if another producer may need your services,
then follow up on that lead or move on to another station. Always ask
for another contact to double your chances to advertise on radio.
