Using Junk Mail to Increase Sales

By Shirley Frazier
Sweet Survival®/GiftBasketBusiness.com

1. Scan junk mail delivered to your traditional mailbox for clever phrases you can use in your marketing materials to sell everyday and all-occasion gift baskets.

2. Look at the outside envelope. Is there a teaser message telling you to open it quickly?

Is it a message you can edit and add to your envelopes to increase sales?

3. Review all postcards. What clever words of wisdom are included to rework for your own mailings?

4. How about advertisements found in trade and consumer magazines? You’ll find lots of great sales words there.

5. Write each phrase on paper or within a word processing document. Then create a similar phrase that focuses on gift baskets to catch your prospect's attention.

Why reinvent the wheel when someone else has created the concept for you?
