Supreme Housewares & Gifts showed a collection of products that are used in the kitchen and for party functions. One new product is dessert plates, which are triangular in shape. One design (out of four) is a delicious pepperoni pizza picture on the plate top. Other plate designs are of melted cheese, a party scene and watermelon.

These plates are dishwasher safe. It would work as a container to stack coordinating products on top of the triangular shape, or the size works to sit upright in back of a basket as a wall. There's no minimum, and there was also no literature on this product. It's supposedly that new to the marketplace. A set of 6 is $10.00.

Granlund's Sweet Temptations was my first stop in the gourmet section. Their products are always so lovely in appearance and decadent in taste. Many of their treats were bagged and boxed with lavender or purple ribbons and bows or combinations of lavender and green with a dragonfly scene.

New to the Granlund's line is a Peanut Butter Brittle dipped in chocolate (10 oz. cello bag for $3.99, an Ivory Cashew Brittle (8 oz. tote bag is $3.99, 10 oz. clear cello bag is $3.50) and a Milk Chocolate Cashew Brittle (10 oz. oval box is $3.99).

For spring, you can choose a plain, Milk Chocolate Fudge Egg in 2 or 4 oz. oval box ($2.50 and $3.75, respectively) or a Rocky Road Egg in the same size ($2.50 and $3.99). The rep said that each is selling well for Easter and Mother's Day.

A raspberry-flavored White Chocolate Shortbread Cookie $1.25 each) is bagged individually and dressed with a pretty bow at the neck of each bag.

If customers love bark, Granlund's won't disappoint. Two new bark flavors are Key Lime and Lemon Meringue. Each is packed in an 8 oz. bag for $3.75 each. All of these products are ready to ship on March 10. Granlund's has a $150 minimum, but for anyone still dragging their feet with Valentine's Day needs, there's no minimum on anything in the Valentine’s Day line.

Chukar Cherry Company is a company I've heard much about, so I was glad to see that they decided to exhibit. The rep explained that the entire line contains no preservatives and that they grow their own cherries to monitor and control freshness.

Bags and boxes filled with chocolate covered and cinnamon sprinkled cherries and other fruits lined the booth. A 4 oz. box is $2.50 each, and the 8 oz. bags include rectangular card tags. The Chocolate Medley, a combination of all of the confection flavors, resembled a symphony of flavor wrapped in a bag.

Chukar also has a line of Herb Teas packaged in the same style box as the confections. The $150 minimum is easily met and quickly sold when you have a good indication as to whether or not this is a line your customers want in their baskets. All products are Kosher.
